October

The sociable, thoughtful, fair-minded, extravagant, at times indecisive, and not as balanced as its reputation might suggest Libra Sun is in place till the 23rd. Barring a blockage from Pluto on the 12th it isn’t too distracted by other planets. Mercury joining Venus in intense, secretive Scorpio from the 10th will be good for research, secret passions with a tendency for sharp comments. Mars in contrary and uncompromising Aquarius will clash with both at times but only in passing.

In the final week the Sun moves into Scorpio immediately opposing disruptive or at least surprising Uranus on the 24th, so plans will go awry with less cooperation around. Then Venus will set about smoothing rough edges and sprinkling a little romantic dust around two days later. Though even Venus has a glitch and a hiccup as it retrogrades in opposition to Uranus just before it moves backwards into the calmer climes of Libra on the 31st.

OUTER PLANETS

Jupiter in Scorpio from October 11 2017 till November 8 2018 – could be a money-magnet, usually good for business and joint finances, or attracting bonuses. Interest in secrets and what lies beyond reality in the hidden realms of the paranormal. Then into enthusiastic Sagittarius for a year.

Saturn: In Capricorn from December 20th 2017 till 2020/21 – usually coincides with a time of some financial shortages and the need to push ambitions ahead with persistence.

Uranus: In Aries from 1 March 2011 till May 15 2018 returning briefly from early November to early March 2019, when it leaves for good – hyper-active, energetic, determined to make new starts even if it means upsetting people, go ahead. From May 15 2018 into Taurus – changing attitudes to handling of money, possessions and resources especially in agriculture and our attitude to nature. Stays for seven years.  Retrograding back into Aries from early this November to early March 2019, then in Taurus for seven years.

Neptune: In Pisces from February 2012 for thirteen years – religious, spiritual, has resonances with Muslim history.

Pluto: In Capricorn for sixteen years from Nov 2008 till 2024 = complete deconstruction and reconstruction of global economic and commercial structures and systems, as well as major changes in way in which governments work. In past times of Pluto in Capricorn (approximately every 250 years) there was territorial domination on a grand scale by charismatic leaders and ultimately a time of culture, learning, justice and prosperity.
