A month with a Lunar and a Solar Eclipse and Mercury retrograde is guaranteed to produce a few surprises and glitches. Eclipses always produce a sense of heightened awareness, as if significant events were about to challenge the status quo. Part of the eclipse effect is to prod everyone into making changes in their lives, to throw away old attitudes and foster new growth in the area of life ruled by the house(s) in which the eclipse falls. They come round every six months to remind us that life should not be static.
The Leo Sun till the 22nd, accompanied by Mars, will make it a sociable, confident, assertive and noisy time as all of Leo’s attention-demanding tendencies get a boost. The Jupiter Pluto square on the 4th is also no shrinking violet and may lead to over-confidence and bullying behaviour. The powerful eclipsed Full Moon in Aquarius on the 7th demands that a better balance be found, between opposites – independence and interdependence, detail and grand plans, home and career, loved ones and friends, doing and being. Then a happy-go-lucky Jupiter sextile the Sun on the 10th will boost morale and bring luck in small ways.
Venus in Cancer till the 26th will make for indulgent moments at home or with the family, although will be sensitive to slights and mood swings.
The Solar Eclipse in the final degree of Leo on the 21st, is a powerful New Moon, though this one could be low energy and prone to muddled thinking with false information coming in. Then the Sun moves into earthy, sensible Virgo for four weeks, to get hard work under way and practical matters resolved. It won’t all be duty however as both Venus and Mercury before the months’ end move into flamboyant, entertaining Leo.
3: Uranus retrograde till early January – only a subtle shift, though certain innovative plans may need a rethink.
4: Jupiter in Libra square Pluto in Capricorn – might makes right, a law unto itself, social niceties will be swept to one side as over-confidence turns pushy.
7: Lunar Eclipse in Aquarius – pulled in two directions, a need to find a middle way.
10: Mercury in Virgo sextile Venus in Cancer – sweet words, gentle persuasion.
Sun in Leo sextile Jupiter – lucky, expansive, lazy.
12: Venus trine Neptune – kind, romantic, dreamy.
13: Mercury retrograde till September 5 – delays in communications, minor irritations.
Sun trine Saturn in Sagittarius – sensible, practical, good for planning.
15: Venus opposition Pluto – charismatic, jealous, possessive, manipulative.
17: Venus square Jupiter – frivolous, indulgent, sociable, extravagant.
20: Mars in Leo sextile Jupiter – surge of positive energy, good for starting projects, can create own luck.
21: Sun trine Uranus – sudden new opportunities, restrictions ease.
Solar Eclipse in Leo – focus on change.
22: Mars trine Saturn – persevering, practical, requires effort.
Sun into Virgo for four weeks – earthy, practical, hard-working, adaptable, communicative and critical.
24: Venus square Uranus – flirtatious, sociable, dislikes possessiveness, wants freedom.
25: Saturn direct in Sagittarius – not noticeable difference, though some viewpoints will be easier to get across.
26: Venus into Leo till September 20th – sociable, fun-loving, romantically upfront.
Sun conjunct Mercury – in mental overdrive, talking fast.
27: Jupiter sextile Saturn – good balance between idealism and materialism, enthusiasm and common sense.
31: Mercury into Leo till September 10th – entertaining, speaking exuberantly.
Jupiter in Libra from September 9th 2016 until October 11 2017 – keen on reaching better agreements with others, that are fair to all, expansive for one-to-one partnerships. Then into Scorpio for a year.
Saturn: In Sagittarius from September 19th 2015 till late December 2017 – serious about knowledge, education, legal matters, religion. Defensive about criticism, self-righteous. Then into Capricorn till 2020.
Uranus: In Aries from 1 March 2011 till 2018 – hyper-active, energetic, determined to make new starts even if it means upsetting people, go ahead. Then into Taurus for seven years.
Neptune: In Pisces from February 2012 for thirteen years – religious, spiritual, has resonances with Muslim history.
Pluto: In Capricorn for sixteen years from Nov 2008 till 2024 = complete deconstruction and reconstruction of global economic and commercial structures and systems, as well as major changes in way in which governments work. In past times of Pluto in Capricorn (approximately every 250 years) there was territorial domination on a grand scale by charismatic leaders and ultimately a time of culture, learning, justice and prosperity.
