Interview with Henry Kissinger in today’s FT: “I think Trump may be one of those figures in history who appears from time to time to mark the end of an era and to force it to give up its old pretences. It doesn’t necessarily mean that he knows this, or that he is considering any great alternative. It could just be an accident.”
It does seem as if maverick figures like Trump and Diana who just dont conform to their expected roles do shake up the status quo and that’s no bad thing.

It’s rather disturbing that a poll of Trump voters in 2016 showed that 46% believed in the Pizzagate conspiracy theory.
Wow, that is a fantastic summary of Uranus in Taurus and its effects. Thank you so much, Marjorie. It’s true, things would be in an upheaval in the US and UK with or without Trump or Brexit. They are just manifestations. to what end, for what purpose only the Gods know. The vedas are right when they say, just try and get off this cycle of birth and death which is mechanical and meaningless. You have to let go all your desires! But though a Pisces, with few desires, it’s still not easy to let go of some things one cherishes. living life day by day is the only way really. I always admired Socrates who wasnt afraid of death but actively accepted his cup of hemlock. Reason and philosophy were the only important pursuits he said, not. materialism and greed. Athens was in a similiar state to now, factions and upheavals, greed and power uppermost.
Interesting……! Feels like certain things have flipped. Slavery division surfaced again but this time within black people themselves led by the comment of a black man. Etc etc …….

Trump now invites Putin to US and it looks like it is news to his National Director of Intelligence Dan Coats.
Marjorie, can I ask which big planet was a major player in 50s USA when the Communist witch hunt craziness was going on? I recall reading something about that planet coming back around this time and I remember it striking me that things look like they have gone to the other end of the extreme spectrum with the US president seemingly in bed with Russia and the American establishment and public seemingly ok with it all. Have I got this all wrong? Thanks for your perspective.
Possibly Neptune, whose return is 165 years? That would mean that at the time of the McCarthy switch hunt, it would have been opposite its current location. And when it was last where it is now (1853), the country was divided over slavery. And about half a Neptune return before that was the American Revolution.
Marjorie, could you see which planets of the US natal chart is tr Neptune aspecting right now that would have such a history of causing division?

Though this time round tr Pluto and tr Saturn are waiting on the sidelines to have a kick at the US Merc Pl as well. In Pluto’s case for several years.
