February 2017

A Lunar and a Solar Eclipse this month will make it one filled with anticipation. Eclipses lay down a challenge to change life in some way, usually in the chart area ruled by the house in which it falls. It can feel like a crisis but in reality it’s an opportunity to upgrade and improve that area if the right steps are taken and followed through. Out in the world they usually accompany significant events.

The Aquarius Sun until the 18th is well supported by good aspects from lively Uranus, lucky and successful Jupiter, and sensible Saturn; with the Lunar Eclipse in Leo/Aquarius giving a wake-up call around the 11th. Since this is an especially powerful Full Moon, the hint is to find a better balance in life.

Venus in romantically upfront Aries from the 3rd will add a splash of adventure to love and social activities. Mercury in inquiring, stubborn and argumentative Aquarius from the 7th will keep conversations lively.

The Pisces Sun from the 18th for four weeks will be more emotional, self-protective and creative. It won’t appreciate the hard and aggressive Mars in Aries square Pluto on the 22nd which is usually frustrating, enraging, trapped and sometimes risky. By the Solar Eclipse (New Moon) on the 26th the mood will be volatile. The Eclipse itself promises pleasant surprises, but there’s a disruptive Mars square Uranus and over-confident opposition to Jupiter the next day, so the good news may take a few days to percolate through. Eclipses have an effect for several months ahead.

OUTER PLANETS:

Jupiter in Libra from September 9th 2016 until October 11 2017 – keen on reaching better agreements with others, that are fair to all, expansive for one-to-one partnerships.

Saturn: In Sagittarius from September 19th 2015 till late 2017 – serious about knowledge, education, legal matters, religion. Defensive about criticism, self-righteous.

Uranus: In Aries from 1 March 2011 till 2018 – hyper-active, energetic, determined to make new starts even if it means upsetting people, go ahead.

Neptune: In Pisces from February 2012 for thirteen years – religious, spiritual, has resonances with Muslim history.

Pluto: In Capricorn for sixteen years from Nov 2008 till 2024 = complete deconstruction and reconstruction of global economic and commercial structures and systems, as well as major changes in way in which governments work. In past times of Pluto in Capricorn (approximately every 250 years) there was territorial domination on a grand scale by charismatic leaders and ultimately a time of culture, learning, justice and prosperity.
